Description

Borthwnog Hall is a grade II listed building nestled within the scenic Snowdonia National Park. Dating back from the 17th century, the hall is located on the Mawddach estuary and features views over the water towards the Cambrian mountains and Cardigan Bay. Free Wi-Fi is featured in each room at Borthwnog, as well as a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. Tea/coffee making facilities are also provided. In the mornings, guests can enjoy cooked breakfast with locally made chicken and herb sausages. Dishes are prepared without pork products. Many Regency-period features can be seen within the property, such as reeded doorcases, high ceilings and traditional furniture. A large reef aquarium is located in the dining room and houses surgeon fish, yellow tangs, clownfish and many other species. Many outdoor activities can be enjoyed within Snowdonia National Park, such as canyoning, caving and watersports. The seaside town of Barmouth is just over 10 minutes’ drive from the property and features a large sandy beach and sheltered harbor. Many scenic walks can be taken along the Mawddach estuary.
